| Senior Consultant - Financial Systems - Government |
|
The federal government is realizing the price of “dirty data” and the missed opportunity costs that result from inaccurate, untimely, and incomplete financial information. Data standardization and cleansing within their legacy environment is often overlooked at the onset of transformation efforts, however, this is essential to achieving an unqualified audit opinion. Our Data Quality Services enable companies to quickly identify and correct inconsistencies in their data leading to immediate improvements in managerial reporting and decision making.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking experienced federal financial management consultants to support our rapidly growing compliance services product area. We are seeking analysts/consultants/senior consultants to support financial data cleansing and standardization tasks necessary to migrate legacy financial data for multiple Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies to the planned ERP system environment. These individuals will be expected to provide client leadership with data compliance planning and advice to clients, including the identification of data challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies. Consultants will support mock and actual conversion activities for the client’s Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Implementation. We are seeking permanent or possibly contract to permanent consultants to work for our company, Capital City Technologies, for this effort. (www.capcitytech.com).
Requirements for this role:
Senior IT Consultants must possess at least 6 years of experience relative to the engagement. They must also possess extensive experience related to the implementation of IT solutions for moderate to large clients.
We are seeking individuals with the following skill-sets and experience in the following areas:
•Satisfactory National Agency Check (NAC) and NACLC (Law and Credit Check).
•Detailed knowledge of DFAS and Defense Agencies financial data elements, record layouts, and attributes
•Prior experience working with DFAS, DAI, or Defense Agencies
•This person will convert legacy system data into Oracle based ERP application
•Prior experience and knowledge of data attributes within the following financial reporting and feeder systems: WAAS, SOMARDS, DCPS, MOCAS, CAPS-W, CAFRMS, CCR, DTS
•Knowledge of DoD Financial regulations, manuals and instruction guides
•Demonstrated Data Cleansing and Conversion experience with large scale organizations
•Knowledge of Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS)
•Prior consulting experience and/or experience with large-scale organizations
•Prior experience in transforming existing governmental accounting processes and procedures into definitive business rule logic to facilitate in-depth analysis
•Excellent ability to explain financial and data processes and results to non-financial users
•Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint)
•Excellent communication, problem solving, and project-planning skills
•Experience in preparing detailed metric briefings for management review
Education:
Bachelors Degree
Our Compensation plans are good or better than the Big 4 accounting firms. Permanent candidates preferred, but contract positions may be considered. US Citizenship is required.
