Job Description:
· Develop, and design migration plan for a Microsoft Exchange 2007 upgrade project utilizing using best practice standards
· Design and migrate from current Microsoft Exchange 2003 environment to Microsoft Exchange 2007 environment
· Confirm the architecture, migration plan, review strategy, confirm server sizing, enhance processes that will achieve goals in support of migration?
· Design Retention and Archiving solution in order to replace current PST files?
· Implemented migration of Microsoft Exchange 2003 to SaaS environment for Exchange 2007?
· Provide architectural and implementation experience and knowledge to develop the architecture, deployment plan and client migration plan?
· Provide best practice knowledge transfer throughout the entire engagement?
· Provide technical support / installation / configuration in Microsoft Exchange 2007 server
· Develop/implement project plan to upgrade/convert older version of Microsoft Exchange 2007 server
· Provide support for the migration, install, maintenance and customization for Microsoft Exchange 2007?
· Evaluate impacts of new releases, develop test plans and implement into production environment?
· Provide support in patch management
· Assist in the development, implementation and execute internal and industry standards, practices and processes for server hardware and software?
· Provide support for hardware configuration?
· Train others in the use, maintenance and customization of software products.
· Document all work completed?
· Develop Microsoft Project Timelines
· Identify key risks and issues and present remediation steps
· Design and Review of Existing Active Directory 2003 architecture and design as they relate to Exchange
· Design and Review of Exchange Storage Disk Subsystem and configuration
· Design and Review of Exchange specific operational improvement goals
· Provide, review, develop and implement recommendation and best practices for Security as pertaining to Exchange 2007?
Basic Qualifications:
· MS Exchange subject matter expert
· Well developed writing and English speaking skills, conveys information concisely and clearly to all levels of client, excellent communication skills.
· HS plus 12 years exp, or BS plus 8
· Must be able to work independently, under minimal supervision; Strong customer service, communication and documentation skills, as well as ability.
· Must possess and maintain a DoD security clearance (at least an interim Secret required), acquire and maintain a DHS EOD clearance, and must pass a drug test.
