| Junior to Mid Level Sofware Engineer |

Apex Systems, Inc. is currently seeking to fill a Junior to Mid Level Software Engineering opportunity located in Annapolis Junction, MD. Our client is a market leader in business aviation; land and expeditionary combat vehicles and systems, armaments, and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems; and mission-critical information systems and technologies.
The Junior to Mid Level Software Engineer will support a software team in the research, design and development of software systems, software applications and tools for new programs.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 2- 5 years directly related experience (designing, developing, implementing Java based systems) is required.
•Supporting software development of technical solutions to complex problems while adhering to prescribed software processes.
•Engaging in the full software life cycle using standard methodologies such as Agile Software Development and/or Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
•Working enhancements and modifications to existing software.
•Primarily new development work, some maintenance of legacy systems.
•Agile methodology.
•Opportunity for technical mentoring from senior developers.
What they're looking for:
•This is more of a junior/mid role - 2-5 years of experience.
•Holding a Security Clearance is the big thing along with general Java development...a couple years of experience would be fine.
•TS/SCI (Required) with NSA Full Scope Polygraph (Desired).
•Team player.
•Good communication.
•Java certifications (SCJP, etc.)
Technical skills/experience:
Java, SQL/JDBC, Should know relational databases (Sybase preferred), J2EE app server (Weblogic or JBoss preferred), CORBA
