What does it take to be an intelligence analyst? Attend the Analyst Boot Camp at the Advanced Technical Intelligence Center and you could be well on your way to a career that offers excitement, innovative technologies, and just perhaps, a bit of espionage.
The Analyst Boot Camp is probably the only place outside of the military where an individual can enter as a civilian and leave a top-secret security cleared intelligence analyst ready to take on a position in the intelligence community. A 10-week program, it’s designed to provide students with the skills they need, addressing everything from an overview of current world affairs to courses on “How to Brief Like an Analyst.”
The first half of the program addresses introductory issues, and the second half focuses on intelligence disciplines, including hands-on experience with secure systems and the latest technology being used on the front lines of the intelligence field. (This is only possible through ATIC’s unique ability to facilitate government security clearance sponsorships for candidates).
The latest issues in intelligence are included in the course curriculum, including cybersecurity, Human Intelligence Analysis (HUMIT), Geospatial Intelligence Analysis (GEOINT), and Imagery Intelligence Analysis (IMINT). Students are challenged to explore topics through analytic exercises, briefings and writing assignments, all designed to emulate the hands-on experience they’ll need in the intelligence field.
Since 2009, ATIC has graduated more than 150 students through the program, with more than 83 percent of those graduates now working in the defense and intelligence community.
